Explore the floor plan and two artistic renderings of the original Cypress Creek building from the 1970s. The branch was renamed after former First Lady Barbara Bush, and a new building opened in 2002.
Two artistic renderings from the 1970s of the building designed by Haywood Jordan and McCowan, Inc. can be found in Volume 5 of the Freeman Memorial Library Scrapbook (covering 1971-1975). This was the branch's second building, a multi-use space for several county departments. The library moved out of this building in 2004 into a new building across the parking lot from this building.
