- Title
- Maud Marks Scrapbook, Volume 3 (1998-2000)
-
-
- Description
- The scrapbook contains photographs, documents, and newspaper clippings on programs, events, and community impact of the library from January 1998 to December 2000. Events of note are the construction and opening of the Reading Garden in 1998 on the grounds of the library, as well as a visit by staff to the LH7 Ranch in 2000. The LH7 Ranch was founded by Emil and Maud Marks in 1907. Maud Marks arranged for the nearby Barker community to receive library service from HCPL in the 1920s and 1930s.
Includes photographs of the Summer Reading Program events from 1998, 1999, and 2000, as well as holiday events from the same years. A North Pole Open House closed out the year 2000. -
