Highlands Library has summer reading plan

LUC UiVlUg UUclI'U. Highlands Library Has Summer Reading Plan HIGHLANDS (Sp) — The Highlands Library summer reading program is in full swing with 205 children enrolled. This program, called “The Salt Grass Trail’’ reading club, age six through 13 years old. Miss Benita Brazzill drew a map of the “Salt Grass Trail” to be used for the reading race track. Each child selects a horse for the race and as he reads a book, his horse moves forward on the trail. When a reader has finished 12 books he is entitled to a reading certificate from Texas State Library. If 12 books are finished by a reader by July 20, he receives a free ticket to Jones Hall in Houston. The reading program ends \ug. 24. Mrs. Rex Wolf is librarian,; assisted by Mrs. Viola Drew, j
