"Reading For Fun" is the 1952 slogan for National Book Week. This year marks the 34th annual celebration of Book Week for it was in 1918 that the idea of a Book Week observance originat¬ ed, in the mind of Franklin K. Mathiews. chief librarian of Boy J Scouts of America. North Houston Memorial Li¬ brary has reading material for i all who have lear jis the hilarious "mosquito-bit¬ ten tale of life in the great outdoors" when Mr. Snivvely. nature lister, becomes a guest at "The Camp At Lockjaw”, by David McCord. Another chuckle-evoking book [is "Let 'em Eat Cheesecake" by Earl Wilson, who manages to make even the corniest of old gags appear in modern dress and 'surroundings.
