Page 12A, KINGWOOD OBSERVER, Wednesday, April 6, 1983 As Kingwood gains a new library building, it loses one of its most familiar and well-used services - the weekly stops of the Harris County Mobilibrary, currently slated to end service in Kingwood May 19. On one of their last days of service in Kingwood, librarian Lanell Black, right, and Bookmobile driver, Martha Johnson, get set for a busy day. The Kingwood stop has been one of the busiest in Harris County, Black pointed out. Kingwood residents borrow an average of 450 to 600 books from the library each week, with the highest number of books borrowed in one day totaled at 915 one Thursday last summer. The Kingwood Friends of the library expressed a note of gratitude to Black and Johnson, and other Harris County library staff, for their con¬ sistent good humor and professional assistance in sometimes very crowded and hectic con¬ ditions.
