In April the books at Pelly were moved from a front room in the City Hall to a smaller room in the rear* In June the county librarian suggested to the custodian, Mrs • С. T. Shewell, the possibility of a regular time for book reviews over Goose Creek's new radio station, KRCT* By coincidence, д -local college student, Bobby Mason, wanted to try out for radio broadcasting, and had asked the station for time. The station gave time for a 15 minute broadcast each Saturday from June until September for Bobby Mason to review books and advertise the Goose Creek Branch before and after each review. In July the Pelly Branch was moved to the second floor of the City Hall by city officials • In October, an organizational change was made in the Goose Creek area. All books were discharged from Cedar Bayou , Baytown Maxican, Baytown Jr., Bay to та Wooster, Pelly, Goose Creek Ashbel and Goose Creek Lamar (a small collection was placed there in September) and charged to Goose Creek Branch Library • The Goose Creek cus todians were given supervision of these collections , instead of the staff of the Central Library Mrs • W.F. Colley, who taught the Trinity Episcopal Kindergarten, was obtained to tell stories weekly at the Goose Creek Branch. Story Hour had been discontinued during the war.
