Including the Central Office, which is open to the rural public daily, except Sunday, from 8 A.M* to 5 P.lf* , there are 6? stations and branches. Book Wagon service was inaugurated in the Minnetex My- kaws district in January 1932. This service reaches many residents who would otherwise have no library facilities. School collections in Baytown, Goose Creek and Katy are considered a part of the gener¬ al library collection in each refpective community both from the standpoint of circulation and book volume. Inaccessibility to the community library makes library service in these schools very valu¬ able. Collections in tow summer camps were well used and were considered a necessity by the direct¬ ors of the camps. Baring 1932 only 3,082 volumes were added to the book collection, making a total of 39,880 volumes at the end of the year, an increase of 379 over the preceeding year. Of this total 20,007 were adult, 19,873 juvenile, 24,390 fiction and 15,490 non fiction. The total circulation for the year 1932 was 308,834, an increase of 34,232 over 1932. The adult percent¬ age was the largest the library has known - 50$.
