Ellington Field Library Station

Learn more about the library station at Ellington Field that was open during World War II, from 1941 to 1943.

Victory Book Campaigns, 1942-1943

The Victory Book Campaigns were national book drives to gather books for American soldiers from 1942 to 1943. Harris County Public Library collaborated with the Houston Public Library to collect and distribute 30,000 volumes at Ellington Field and Camp Wallace.

LSC-CyFair Library

Celebrating 21 years!

The Lone Star College-CyFair Libary opened in August 2003.  The unique partnership between HCPL and LSC-CyFair offers the community access to learning opportunities through the college's academic resources, while the college's students, faculty, and staff can enjoy popular materials not typically found in academic libraries.

Parker Williams Branch Library

Celebrating 31 years!

The Parker Williams Branch Library opened its door to the Southbelt-Ellington community in 1993. It is named for Dr. Parker Williams, former Director and President of the San Jacinto-South Campus.

Spring Branch Memorial Branch Library

Celebrating 69 years!

The Spring Branch Memorial Library's earliest location was an empty classroom at St. Francis Episcopal Church on Piney Point Road. In 1959, it moved to a small cottage behind its present location. The current building opened in 1975 and serves the Memorial Villages and Spring Branch.
